Your motherhood session can take place at any time during the day, however we recommend late afternoon when the sun is low and dreamy light is filtering through.
Shot in an outdoor location amongst trees and open, grassy areas - perfect for your children to run and explore.

FAQ's
What if my toddler refuses to cooperate?
Don't stress - as a photographer, we expect chaotic toddler behaviour. I aim to bring out their big, unique personality through using playful prompts rather than forced, static poses, and actually making the photo shoot fun. Any heads up on how to win over your toddler before the shoot date is much appreciated! We can also use props to aid in a little distraction.
What should we wear?
I mostly want you to feel comfortable and confident - and warm - in your clothing - if it's not your style or something you would usually wear, I guarantee that you won't feel like yourself. With that in mind, neutrals, earthy tones, and some whites are great colours when combined and for post shoot editing. Try to avoid having too many busy patterns on your clothing. Where will the shoot be held?
Upon enquiry, we will decide the best package option, and the best location option. Open grassy reserves within Nelson/Tasman are great options for the space to move and play - and the lush greens in your photos! Motherhood 02 will be shot in home at your place.
What happens if it rains on shoot day?
Weather happens. If you have an outdoor shoot booked, we will reschedule to the next available, fine day - no problem!
